 Mike and I have been together for twenty-plus years and have worked together for most of those years. In fact, we met at work- he was my sales manager at The Cliffs resort out at Possum Kingdom lake where we sold land together. 

After land sales we worked together for home builders and home improvement companies. 

Over the years we have bought- remodeled and sold several homes. We personally like to purchase older homes in established neighborhoods - live in them for a few years while we fix them up and then sell them. We are big DYI'ers and enjoy working on projects together. It is a fun hobby and has also provided a fantastic tax-free income. We have made a significant amount of money on every home we have sold because every decision we made- considered re-sale value- beginning with the purchase of the property. 

In addition to the work we have done together, my background also includes life coaching, hypnotherapy, and designing kitchens and bathrooms. 

Altogether our experience helps us be better real estate agents because we can look at houses and have ideas of how to make improvements while also having a good idea of what it will take to make the improvements, along with a rough estimate of how much the upgrades will cost and what the return on investment will be.

My coaching skills also come in handy in helping our clients become more clear on what it is they really want and why. I think this is important because If someone is buying or selling a primary residence, it isn't just a house- it's a defining moment in their life. Other circumstances usually play a part in the decision to sell or buy. I don't want to just help with the transaction- I want to help with the overall transition and ensure that the real estate transaction supports the overall goal. Because while all of our relationships with our clients are professional fiduciary relationships- in the end, our clients are our friends.
